Black and Gold, Bleu Blanc et Rouge, bloody lips: color commentary
Coaches pacing, players skating, fanatics biting fingernails--invested all
Bruins, Canadiens--who will win, who will fall?
Thanks to the AMHL (as in 6:30 A.M. Hockey league) for prompting me to launch this site: your portal to off-beat hockey (and donut) stories.
My mission here is to celebrate and to serve: to share the splendor of hockey; to entertain, if not to enlighten; and to kindle, if in only myself, kindness. And to foster forgiveness.
Jim Dwyer is a freelance writer, hockey player, marketer, and outside--the-parallelogram thinker, (and donut lover). His work is or has been featured at USAHockey.com, AMHL.com, Hockeybarn.com, and WorldPondHockey.com. Dwyer lives with his wife in the Boston area, and his passion for hockey and frequent visits to Canada have garnered him a reputation as a “Canadian spy.” He is pondering publication options for his hockey memoir, AMHL Glory: A Passion for Morning Hockey (and Donuts). His favorite donuts are the Walnut Crunch and the Chocolate Frosted.
